In April 2017, I found my own initiative "HeritageForAll*" targeting the field of the heritage and/or museum management and conservation throughout a group of capacity building activities. Holding an M.A. in Heritage Conservation and Site Management from HU (Egypt) and Brandenburg Uni. of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (Germany); a Guidance Diploma, FTH, HU; and a B.A. in History, Faculty of Arts – Cairo Uni., I have held numerous internships such as what had been done with UNESCO Cairo office, and UNESCO New Delhi-supported initiative GoUNESCO.
I have an extensive background in heritage management, with a special attention to the role of tangible and intangible heritage which form the main spheres of my research interests. I worked for a while as a heritage development officer at Children's Civilization and Creativity Center (Child Museum). I participated two heritage projects, firstly, Siwa Architecture Community Centre: towards an Inclusive and Heritage-conscious Urban Transition (SIWI Project) raising an awareness of the local community about Siwan architecture and the cultural significance of traditional architectural heritage; secondly, under my supervision, HeritageForAll project "Rashid – World Heritage Site". The former project, I start it with a workshop "Urban Architectural Heritage and Social Interaction" understanding the heritage context in Rashid and estimating how the local community deals with their surrounding cultural heritage.

Papers by Mohamed Badry
In this project I collaborate on the case study of the Ahmadiyya Mosque in Berlin.
For the final publication I collaborate in the draft of two parts of the text:
- The general framework of "Decision-making Models and Authorities for Religious Heritage Sites"
- Decision-making models and authorities at the the Wilmersdorf or Berliner Mosque.
The publication might be presented in November 2014 in Istanbul within a conference/workshop organized by the Research Center For Islamic History, Art and Culture (IRCICA) in Istanbul.
The researchers used archaeological and Egyptological-related libraries, internet sources etc, together with oral sources obtained when interviewing Mr Mohamed Fathy Mansour of the Mit Rahina Inspectorate, during a fieldtrip conducted on Thursday, 16 January 2014. The visit evaluated the ground cover and potential for buried archaeological materials, as well as recording any standing or obtrusive archaeological and historical features.
This research will assess the current situation of Mit Rahina, the open air museum and the surrounding archaeological components which have been affected by human-induced impacts. It will then provide Heritage Impact assessment procedures, describe the current or proposed changes, and then identify the threats to the site in order to analyze its potential impact. Consequently, it will then suggest some mitigating measures.
The paper has been used archaeological and Egyptological-related libraries, internet sources and besides, oral sources that are done within a field trip interviewing the site inspector Mr. Mohamed Fathy Mansour – Mit Rahina Inspectorate register – on Tuesday, 12th August 2014 that he is informatively supported. Presentation of this paper had been done under the theme "Social Values Embodied in Diverse Patterns of Tangible and Intangible Heritage" within HU-BTU Fifth International Conference on Heritage Conservation and Site Management "Cultural Heritage and Sustainable Development: A Tourism Perspective".
Abstract:
The Mediterranean diet was inscribed in 2013 on the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage list. It is considered knowledgably a lifestyle including a group of activities. Although this inscription was exclusively restricted in some European states, a researcher can estimate some of its manifestations within the forms of living heritage in Egypt. Paper will view some examples of cities where people indirectly apply the Mediterranean diet including various actions such as traditional food, crafts, social practices, and construction. Moreover, it will present recommendations which help to link culturally and economically between the Mediterranean diet-related activities and the Egyptian cultural identity. Respectively, this linkage will contribute raising an awareness of the Egyptian local community for the cultural significance of an intangible cultural heritage and pushing them to preserve, as an initial inventory body, their heritage and operationalize the factor of sustainability through transforming knowledge along the coming generations.
