This paper aims at discussing Husserl's perspective on conceptual identification of the essence of both material and ideal objects. Our starting assumption is that perceptive synthesis provides a foundation for logical synthesis that allows identifying an object, according to phenomenological approach. By analysing a few chosen texts from "Ding und Raum", "Ideen I" and "Erfahrung und Urteil", we shall study the distinctions between morphological and exact essences. This will allow for the grasping of the specific character regarding typological concepts. This very clarification is the source of possibility for the phenomenology itself as a descriptive theory on the essence of pure acts (Erlebnisse).

What takes place on stage in front of the audience is both the effective reality and the happening of a fictional story. In this paper, we are interested in the extension of the phenomenology of experience to a world of mere fictions. By analyzing a few chosen texts from the volume XXIII of Husserliana, we shall put the eidetics of imagination to the test of the dramatic experience of the audience and raise the problem of the actor’s play and its paradox.

Therefore, the extra-daily practices such as sports or artistic training awake multiple layers of the corporeal awareness. In this paper our aim is to provide an account of the performer’s specific embodiment during both practice and training. Our starting point is the first person account of a stage experience: heightened kinaesthetical awareness enables the performer to respond immediately to the sensory surrounding. Within the phenomenological model of the embodied experience we shall study the process of training as emergence of new habits.

This original relation, taken up by Philostratus, allows grasping the philosophical background of the rhetorical theories of image and reveals the permeability between the two fields during the Roman period.

Papers by Raluca Mocan
