English: Files relating to the ancient Canaanite religion and the mythology of the Levant. Canaanite religion was the religion practiced by the Canaanites living in the ancient Levant from at least the early Bronze Age through the first centuries of the Common Era.
Canaanite religion was polytheistic, and in some cases monolatristic. It was both cognate with and strongly influenced by Mesopotamian (Babylonian, Assyrian) religion, and due to the influence of the Egyptian Empire it also shows significant influence from Egyptian religion.
