English: Hotchpotch (or in Dutch: Hutspot is a dish of boiled and mashed potatoes, carrots and onions with a long history in traditional Dutch cuisine. Hutsepot (see Category:Hochepot), the Belgian variant includes chunks of meat and/or smoked sausages and bacon.
Nederlands: Hutspot, ook wel (penen/wortel)stamp of peen en uien of wortels en uien genoemd, is een typisch wintergerecht. Het wordt gemaakt door aardappelen, wortelen (meestal winterpeen) en uien samen helemaal gaar te koken en daarna te stampen tot een stamppot. Hutsepot is de Belgische variant en bevat ook stukken vlees en/of gerookte worsten en spek.
