You can access all SAM4U KPIs that are automatically filled with data based on the extracted information from SAP backends. A demo instance of the SAM4U Tool is always available on our website: Skybuffer
On the Dashboard, as well as in the Users Analytics section, you can find the “Classified Users” KPI, which displays the number of classified users for each type.

In our example, you can see that 402 SAP users are classified as “SAP Bus. Suite Professional,” which is the most expensive type of license. Checking the License Consumption KPI in the SAM4U tool, we see that the number of “SAP Bus. Suite Professional” licenses purchased is less than the number of SAP users manually classified as professionals.

Optimizing Manual Classification of SAP Users
Considering the spare licenses of other SAP user types, several options exist for optimizing the manual classification of SAP users to comply with SAP license entitlement:
Evaluate Manual Classifications: Use the SAM4U KPI “Classified/Dialog Users” from user analytics to ensure all users are manually classified. Automatically classified users are typically assigned the most expensive license type, so reviewing and reclassifying these users is essential.
Identify Dormant Users: Check the SAM4U users analytics for dormant users who might be locked and invalidated.
Analyze User Roles and Usage: Use the SAM4U tool to identify users whose roles and active usage do not justify their current classification, allowing for potential reclassification.
SAM4U Tool brings clarity and helps you reclassify SAP users effectively, ensuring proper SAP license consumption and unlocking potential cost savings.
