Abstract
The sovereignty problem of the two major economic powers of Far East Asia, China and Japan, the Senkaku / Diaoyu islands has climbed further with the discovery of the oil and natural gas reserves identified in the region. The claims of sovereignty over the Senkaku / Diaoyu islands, which have a strategic position in the East China Sea, and the fact that the parties do not agree with each other's thesis are raising the tension between the two states. In this context, the development of the Senkaku / Diaoyu island crisis, which is controversial in the East China Sea, will be assessed in the context of the international law of the claims of the parties and the state in which the sovereignty of the Islands should belong.

Abstract
The United States of America (US) and the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (Soviet Socialist Republics) emerged as the dominant actors of the international system and began to direct the international state system in the bipolar world order that emerged with the end of the Second World War. With the disintegration of the USSR, the bipolar system we have called the Cold War has come to an end and the US has taken its place in the system as a "superpower". Along with the responsibility of being a superpower, the United States has become a stylist and guardian of the post-Cold War international system. For this reason, the foreign policy tools and aims of the United States have great importance in terms of international relations. There are many different factors that shape and change the foreign policy of the United States. But the security of the US people and their land, the superiority of democracy, respect for human rights and economic interests have never lost their importance in foreign policy. For these reasons, there have been interventions that we can call the third or the third, directly or indirectly, human or military. In this study, three of the dynamics affecting the humanitarian and military intervention policy of the United States are emphasized. The extent to which national security, the desire to spread democracy, and economic interests affect the military and humanitarian intervention of the United States against a third state will be examined in the context of international law.
