This article addresses the ways through which the conceptual changes can be studied. Specifically, it recovers the distinction between the dia-chronic and synchronic viewpoints in order to problematize the alleged conceptual change that Peron introduced in the Argentine political language around the middle of the 20th century. Facing that argument, this article postulates that the alleged change in the concept of democracy didn't existed; it suggests instead that there was a dislocation of the space of experience, which determined the capabilities and qualities of enunciation in that context. In this sense, this article asserts that during the years of the first Peronism, a semantic dispute took place around the legitimacy to talk about democracy and, by doing that, it shows the importance of the aforementioned dispute to think the relationship between the diachronic and synchronic viewpoints.
This work analyzes the political polarization that marked the identity constitution of the Peronist and anti-Peronist spaces. We work with the structures of disagreement involved in the debates that arose around the concept of democracy among the main political parties during the years of first Peronism (1945-1955). Indeed, we wonder if the negative definition of the anti-Peronists position was radically opposed to the Peronists, or whether there was something in common which enabled this polarization. That is, the revision of beliefs and assumptions that have set the limits and possibilities of a well-known period as it is the years comprising the first Peronism.

This article analyzes the figure of the people as sovereign political subject in the discourse of national political parties during the first peronism. The paper presents how the figure of the people was a part of a shared grammar that corresponded to an antagonistic logic which symbolically divide society between the people and his other. The main argument presented here says that there was a dispute over who could legitimately speak and represent the people, and this difference shows the impossibility of reducing the debates about democracy with the models faced.

In this article has made an exploration about the debates of democracy concept in the emergence of Peronism and anti-Peronism as political identities. In effect, is considered that the semantic struggle was a dispute over the incarnation and appropriation of democracy as a principle of legitimacy, and the senses in dispute were crossed by the constant (re)invention of the largely common democratic tradition. So, the aim proposed is not only to analyze the content that the actors gave to the concept of democracy, but also certain identity processes that occurred in relation to the concept.
