Abstract: The effect and quality of education is the fundamental of higher education, and instructional reform is the core one of all reforms in higher education. In order to motivate the instructional reform and enhance the quality of education, the department of education in China has evaluated and rewarded the study performance in instructional practice of educators in higher learning instructions since 1989. This means has pushed enormously the process of the instructional reform in higher learning institutions and enhanced the effect and quality of higher education. However, evaluating and rewarding the excellent study performance of educators in higher learning institutions …still depends on the qualitative evaluation by the expert’s intelligence and experience. In this paper, we investigate the multiple attribute decision making problems for evaluating the psycholinguistic teaching effect with triangular fuzzy information. Motivated by the idea of geometric Bonferroni mean and Einstein operations, we develop the triangular fuzzy Einstein geometric Bonferroni mean (TFEGBM) operator and triangular fuzzy weighted Einstein geometric Bonferroni mean (TFWEGBM) operator for aggregating the triangular fuzzy information. Then, based on the TFWEGBM operator, we develop the procedure for multiple attribute decision making with the triangular fuzzy information. Finally, a practical example for evaluating the psycholinguistic teaching effect is given to verify the developed approach. Show more

Abstract: With the rapid development of China’s economic globalization in the new era, the demand for English majors is obviously on the rise, which puts forward new and higher requirements for application-oriented undergraduate colleges to train compound English majors. However, from the perspective of teaching quality evaluation of English majors in application-oriented undergraduate colleges, the results are not optimistic. Therefore, it is an important task for higher education research in China to explore the problems existing in the process of teaching quality evaluation for English majors in application-oriented undergraduate colleges and how to better train qualified and versatile talents for English …majors to adapt to the economic and social development in the new era. The teaching quality evaluation of college English is frequently viewed as a multi-attribute group decision-making (MAGDM). Thus, a novel MAGDM method is used to tackle it. Depending on the conventional CODAS method and interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy sets (IVIFSs), this paper designs a novel distance based IVIF-CODAS method to assess the teaching quality evaluation of college English. First of all, a related literature review is conducted. What’s more, some necessary theories related to IVIFSs are briefly reviewed. In addition, since subjective randomness frequently exists in determining criteria weights, the weights of criteria is decided objectively by utilizing CRITIC method. Afterwards, relying on novel distance measures between IVIFSs, the conventional CODAS method is extended to the IVIFSs to calculate assessment score of every alternative. Therefore, all alternatives can be ranked and the one with the best teaching quality. Eventually, an application about teaching quality evaluation of college English and some comparative methods have been employed to show the superiority of the developed method. The results illustrate that the defined framework is very useful for assessing the teaching quality of college English. Show more

Abstract: Neuroimaging technology is considered a non-invasive method research the structure and function of the brain which have been widely used in neuroscience, psychiatry, psychology, and other fields. The development of Deep Learning Neural Network (DLNN), based on the deep learning algorithms of neural imaging techniques in brain disease diagnosis plays a more and more important role. In this paper, a deep neural network imaging technology based on Stack Auto-Encoder (SAE) feature extraction is constructed, and then Support Vector Machine (SVM) was used to solve binary classification problems (Alzheimer’s disease [AD] and Mild Cognitive Impairment [MCI]). Four sets of experimental data …were employed to perform the training and testing stages of DLNN. The number of neurons in each of the DLNNs was determined using the grid search technique. Overall, the results of DLNNs performance indicated that the SAE feature extraction was superior over (Accuracy Rate [AR] = 74.9% with structure of 93-171-49-22-93) shallow layer features extraction (AR = 70.8% with structure of 93-22-93) and primary features extraction (AR = 69.2%). Abstract: Undoubtedly, the Internet is an indispensable part of daily life in this era. In this context, the emergence of new media has played a disruptive role in information dissemination, and has also provided new definitions and evaluation standards for the impact of information dissemination. In an environment where excellent research is constantly emerging, it is of research value to redefine the elements of new media information dissemination from a new perspective and provide specific examples to analyze their information dissemination paths. The new-media information communication influence evaluation from super intellectual property (IP) perspective is a multipleattribute group decisionmaking (MAGDM) problem. …Recently, the Exponential TODIM (an acronym in Portuguese of interactive and multicriteria decision making) method has been used to cope with MAGDM issues. The interval-valued Pythagorean fuzzy sets (IVPFSs) are used as a tool for characterizing uncertain information during the new-media information communication influence evaluation from super intellectual property. In this manuscript, the interval-valued Pythagorean fuzzy Exponential TODIM (ExpTODIM) (IVPFExpTODIM) method is built to solve the MAGDM under IVPFSs. In the end, a numerical case study for new-media information communication influence evaluation from super intellectual property is given to validate the proposed method. The main research contribution of this paper is constructed: (1) the Exponential TODIM (ExpTODIM) method is extended to the IVPFSs; (2) the interval-valued Pythagorean fuzzy Exponential TODIM (ExpTODIM) (IVPF-ExpTODIM) method is built to solve the MAGDM under IVPFSs; (3) the information Entropy is used to obtain the weight values based on the score value and accuracy value under IVPFSs; (4) Finally, a numerical case study for new-media information communication influence evaluation from super intellectual property is given to validate the proposed method. Abstract: Hotel industry, as the pillar industry of the tertiary industry, is developing at a rapid pace under the background of rapid economic growth and strong support for the tourism industry. At the same time, it also faces fierce competition at home and abroad. In the information age, more and more hotels choose informationalized management, in order to reflect the competitive advantage of the enterprise with better services, higher efficiency and lower costs. The current hotel management system has been widely used in all aspects of hotel management, integrating reception, backstage financial processing and material procurement functions in one, which basically …meets the needs of the daily management of the hotel. With the advancement of the hotel information process, hotel business data also shows explosive growth. However, these data have not been effectively developed and used. This research proposes Fuzzy based Analytic Hierarchical Process (FAHP), which is utilized for considering user perception to access the making of decision. The business data processing of the management of hotels is limited to simple collection, storage, and statistics. The information obtained is superficial and regular, which cannot meet the current “customer-centered” marketing strategy of the hotel. This topic is based on the conventional hotel management system, using data mining technology to extract useful information from the existing hotel business data to establish customer segmentation model and support the decision layer to analyze the data from multi-angle and multi-level around the decision-making topic, so as to truly realize the “customer-centered” concept, improve hotel service level and improve the core competitiveness of enterprises. Abstract: With the rapid development of big data and continuous optimization of online shopping platforms, personalized recommendation has become a standard feature of recommendation methods. In order to effectively provide personalized recommendations to customers, improve recommendation accuracy, and customer satisfaction, it is necessary to consider customers’ preferences for multiple product attributes when making product recommendations. However, existing recommendation methods require precise calculation of product attribute weights, which is computationally expensive, complex, and often results in unstable weight values. This paper proposes a multi-attribute recommendation method based on consumer decision preference information that overcomes the need for weights and reflects personalized customer …preferences. Based on the acquisition of customer product attribute preference sequences, a partial order relation for recommended products is constructed using partial order set theory. Finally, the recommended products are determined through the partial order Hasse diagram, where the top layer elements of the Hasse diagram represent the recommended product set. This method addresses challenges that traditional content-based recommendations cannot overcome. The experiment in this paper uses a dataset of 30,000 records from Beeradvocate beer reviews. The experimental results show that, compared to traditional multi-attribute recommendation methods, this method only requires decision-maker preference information to complete product recommendations, requiring less information and having lower computational costs, resulting in more robust results. Abstract: BACKGROUND: In clinical computed tomography (CT) applications, when a patient is obese or improperly positioned, the final tomographic scan is often partially truncated. Images directly reconstructed by the conventional reconstruction algorithms suffer from severe cupping and direct current bias artifacts. Moreover, the current methods for projection extension have limitations that preclude incorporation from clinical workflows, such as prohibitive computational time for iterative reconstruction, extra radiation dose, hardware modification, etc . METHOD: In this study, we first established a geometrical constraint and estimated the patient habitus using a modified scout configuration. Then, we established an energy constraint using the integral invariance …of fan-beam projections. Two constraints were extracted from the existing CT scan process with minimal modification to the clinical workflows. Finally, we developed a novel dual-constraint based optimization model that can be rapidly solved for projection extrapolation and accurate local reconstruction. RESULTS: Both numerical phantom and realistic patient image simulations were performed, and the results confirmed the effectiveness of our proposed approach. CONCLUSION: We establish a dual-constraint-based optimization model and correspondingly develop an accurate extrapolation method for partially truncated projections. The proposed method can be readily integrated into the clinical workflow and efficiently solved by using a one-dimensional optimization algorithm. Moreover, it is robust for noisy cases with various truncations and can be further accelerated by GPU based parallel computing. Show more

Abstract: To improve the speed and accuracy of cerebral vessel extraction, a fast and robust method is proposed in this paper. First, volume data are divided into sub-volumes by using octree, and at the same time invalid volume data are eliminated. Second, fuzzy connectedness is introduced to achieve fast cerebral vessel segmentation from 3D MRA Images. The values of gradient and Laplacian transformation are then calculated to improve the accuracy of the distance field. Last, the center of gravity is utilized to refine the initial centerline to make it closer to the actual centerline of the vessel cavity. The experiment demonstrates …that the proposed method can effectively improve the speed and precision of centerline extraction. Show more

Abstract: BACKGROUND: Threat Image Projection (TIP) is a technique used in X-ray security baggage screening systems that superimposes a threat object signature onto a benign X-ray baggage image in a plausible and realistic manner. It has been shown to be highly effective in evaluating the ongoing performance of human operators, improving their vigilance and performance on threat detection. OBJECTIVE: With the increasing use of 3D Computed Tomography (CT) in aviation security for both hold and cabin baggage screening a significant challenge arises in extending TIP to 3D CT volumes due to the difficulty in 3D CT volume segmentation and the proper …insertion location determination. In this paper, we present an approach for 3D TIP in CT volumes targeting realistic and plausible threat object insertion within 3D CT baggage images. METHOD: The proposed approach consists of dual threat (source) and baggage (target) volume segmentation, particle swarm optimisation based insertion determination and metal artefact generation. In our experiments, real baggage data collected from airports are used to generate TIP volumes for evaluation. We also propose a TIP quality score metric to automatically estimate the quality of generated TIP volumes. RESULT: In our experiments with real baggage CT volumes and varying threat items, 90.25% of the generated TIP volumes are graded as good by human evaluation, 7% of them are of medium quality with minor flaws and 2.75% of them are bad . CONCLUSION: Qualitative evaluations on real 3D CT baggage imagery show that our approach is able to generate realistic and plausible TIP which are indiscernible from real CT volumes and the TIP quality scores are consistent with human evaluations.
