Completely agree with iAN here - autosolving an adventure must be a firstie on the training biz.
Though I prefer the gfx on this one over the text: any translation is a good translation whereever it is done! Keep it up!
Ye, n2c - we all know without your genious mind this would not have been possible. Hope this doesn't keep you from the promised Sould Crystal translation... | User Comment Submitted by enthusi on 28 June 2014
Scout: actually, that is the one thing I did for this release :)
It's a memory resistant large chunk of 8-to-5 bit encoded data, omitting rare characters and as you know even letters *g* to get all squeezed into 32 chars. | User Comment Submitted by Rough on 27 June 2014
Kim Kardashian? Who's in the original? | User Comment Submitted by BokanoiD on 27 June 2014
aaaaaand I'm stuck in the first room. | User Comment Submitted by Paulko64 on 27 June 2014
"Luckily", 27 years later the Dutch people still know who Patricia Paay is ;) | User Comment Submitted by Scout on 26 June 2014
Fix did a great job cracking this by reverse engineering the text encryption.
Translating it was also a nice job to do.
The original Dutch texts by John Vanderaart were witty but sometimes weird.
I hope to have kept this atmosphere in the English translation.
Although I wonder if people still know who Kim Kardashian is in 10-20 years ;-) | User Comment Submitted by finchy on 26 June 2014
Excellent! Looks quite nice, I like the style of it. | User Comment Submitted by Paulko64 on 26 June 2014
For years I've been searching for this lost adventure game by John Vanderaart. I was a huge fan of all the Dutch Radarsoft games from the early 80s.
I'm proud to have contributed to finding, translating, and testing of this fun game. Give it a try, and find all the dozen or so different ways to die... | User Comment Submitted by Goat on 26 June 2014
Nice, but it's strange that you have to push "Y" twice to activate only one available trainer. | User Comment Submitted by iAN CooG on 26 June 2014
autosolving adventure, now that's a firstie for me. thumbs up =) | User Comment Submitted by Unkle K on 26 June 2014
A great find and excellent release overall. Thank-you for taking the time to do the translation. I'm going to have a shot at this one :-) |
