The tutorial videos for numerous subjects and hence widely used by the Learners across the world. The Present research work tried to evaluate YouTube as a potential source of Learning Web 2.0 by analyzing top 100 videos on the subject. The study found that majority of videos (39%) are on 'Application of web 2.0 in general". O’Relly Media has created highest number of videos (31%) and the 2012 was found to be the most productive year so far as publication of videos on Web 2.0 in YouTube is concerned.

The article reviewed the current situation of the VIDWAN subject expert database and national researcher's network in India and recommends that it is the time to populate the database not only in India but also worldwide and in all scientific areas. The present study analyses the various pattern of articles in the journal “Library and Informatio... more The present study analyses the various pattern of articles in the journal “Library and Information Science Research” over a period of 10 years from 2008 to 2017. A total number of 381 research communications from the journal published in Elsevier was retrieved and examined using well-established bibliometrics indicators. The study reveals that the journal publishes a slightly equal number of articles in each year per volume/issues. The average number of authors per issue was 19.45 during the study period. The highest numbers of 163 (42.78%) articles have jointly contributed by two authors followed by single authors with 131(34.38%) articles. The degree of collaboration falls from 0.53 to 0.75. The average number of references per article is 44.50. The study further investigates that 80.31% of the total articles were published with a length less than 10 pages. The highest number of authors contributed to the journal from the United States of America with 395 (50.99%) contributors followed by Australia (66, 8.48%), Canada (45, 5.78%). The study also reveals that the highest number of research paper published in the form of “Article” than another form of literature.

The paper further discusses the need and importance of a centrally maintained repository in the current age and the role and challenges of universities, libraries and researchers in development of institutional repositories at university levels. Design/methodology/approach – Data are collected from Shodhganga server/Web site followed by simple excel analysis which are presented in the paper in the form of tables and graphs. Findings – As on 30 June 2015, a total of 40,175 theses have been deposited in the repository by 217 universities. This article studies the use of interlibrary loan and document delivery service at the Information and Library Network Centre under the UGC-Infonet Digital Library Consortium program. Universities that come under the purview of the University Grants Commission (UGC), Government of India, become members of UGC-Infonet Digital Library Consortium. The article discusses the recent literature on resource-sharing through interlibrary loan and document delivery service practice in the Indian context. This article suggests improvement of J-Gate Plus discovery and resource-sharing service to enhance access to information resources and for better document delivery.

The study presents the trends in authorship pattern and author's collaborative research in Indian... more The study presents the trends in authorship pattern and author's collaborative research in Indian chemistry literature with a sample of 53,977 articles downloaded from SCI-Expanded database in Web of Science during the period 2000-2009. The average number of authors per article is 3.55 %. In the study the degree of collaboration (C) during the overall 10 years (2000-2009) is 0.03, but the year wise degree of collaboration is almost same in all the years of mean value 0.97. In the 10 years of period, the multi-authorship articles are higher and predominant on single authorship. The study found that the researchers in chemistry are keen towards team research or group research rather than solo research.

In the e-information era, there are so many consortiums are coming up with different aim and objectives. Specially in the Indian contest, INFLIBNET Centre an IUC of UGC, India maintains a comprehensive web site for the Consortium that provides links to its members , e-resources, tutorials on each resource and searchable interface to more than 5500 journals subscribed by the Consortium from 2004. Data was collected from consortium members by Questionnaire method with tables and much care. This paper provides a comprehensive report on the Assessment of implementation of e-resources project under UGC-Infonet Digital Library Consortium. It also provides how the programme operates and saves the huge amount of money, time and efforts towards the subscription of e-resources from different publishers, aggregator, and agents with signing comprehensive lenience of agreement. Though this assessment programme, all member libraries will know their ultimately benefit from inclusion in a nationwide network type of consortium, the conceptual model may guide anyone interested in aggregating online information resources into a single, seamless terminal at their campus.
