The University of Edinburgh’s College of Medicine & Veterinary Medicine is an international leader in basic-to-clinical translational research. The College's research ranges from bench to bedside and from process to population. Research themes are: genes and populations, normal and diseased cells and inflammation and tissue repair.
The University is one of the oldest centres for medical and veterinary medical research in the UK. It is also one of the most dynamic and progressive, with state of the art facilities across the College. The 2021 Research Excellence Framework (REF) results reaffirmed the College’s reputation as one of the world’s leading centres of medical and veterinary medical research.
