My major (research) interests concern changing patterns of communication and interaction through means of digitalization in societies, markets, businesses and other organizations, as well as on the level of individuals. Thus, I am interested in the increasing importance of ‘information’ and its impact, for example, on value creation which includes fields like Electronic Markets and all flavors of Electronic Commerce and Business. Currently, I am especially interested in the utilization of New Media and Social Media in the commerce area as well as in governmental and societal areas such as eDemocracy, eParticipation and Smart Cities and Regions.
