TISAX - optimization of IT risk management in the automotive industry

Published: 01 January 2021 Publication History

Abstract

Information security is of great importance for companies from the automotive industry. All of them interact with contractors worldwide, often needing to exchange commercially sensitive and confidential information related to product designs, technology research projects or business plans. The article presents a solution that enables information security assessment and provides a common evaluation and exchange mechanism for all entities of the industry - Trusted Information Security Assessment Exchange (TISAX). The article analyses the purpose and method of implementation as well as the benefits of introducing this standard. It also indicates the similarities and differences with the commonly used international ISO 27001 standard.
