Sub-pixel Detection for Color Stripe Center of Coded Structured Light System

Published: 21 October 2011 Publication History

Abstract

For 3D measurement system using color Gray code with stripe dividing, the detection accuracy of color stripe center is the key for system measurement precision. Based on the Gray gravity method, this paper proposes a color component gravity method to detect color stripe center with sub-pixel accuracy. Green stripe centers of coded structured light are detected by color component gravity method. Furthermore in order to avoid the influences of object surface, ambient light and viewpoint, the color stripes images are normalized by normalized color rgb. Experimental results show that the max relative measurement error is less than 0.01%, reconstruction object surface corresponds with the real object even the detail feature.
