Rule based system to facilitate the immunity of HIV/AIDS patients using Ayurveda therapy

Published: 03 September 2012 Publication History

Abstract

In this paper researchers have designed a Rule Based Information System which captures the knowledge of medical experts and then simulates their thinking. It uses the facts of fatal diseases that they can not be cured, their different types of medicinal treatments and works intelligently using the programming technique of Artificial Techniques. It is a system which prescribes the medicines to increase the immunity as well as the latency period of the patients affected by Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) and Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) using Ayurveda Therapy. The rules are designed as per the guidelines of Ayurveda therapy and study of symptoms of HIV and AIDS patients to device the prototype of Rule Based Immunization Expert System. The correctness of the diagnosis and medicines prescribed by the system are tested against the real time data of patients obtained from the hospital. The data is then analyzed and tested to verify the research hypothesis using research methodology techniques.
