  • Abstract

Massive Open Online Courses (MOOC), is a web-based platform providing online course resources for thousands of participants to learn effectively and collaboratively. With the development of mobile devices and wireless networks, MOOC is widely used in the field of mobile learning (ML) in recent years, especially in U.S and European countries, which brings the online learners more flexibility and convenience. Although the use of mobile MOOC platform is still in its infancy in China, there have been some success stories in schools. This paper we will describe a mobile MOOC platform named WeCast developed by the E-Learning Lab of Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU), which allows tens of thousands online learners to obtain educational resources on mobile devices.
