Performance optimization of heterogeneous cloud storage with bandwidth & capacity considerations

Published: 09 April 2018 Publication History

Abstract

Due to the elasticity and convenience of usage, public cloud storage systems have played an important role in our daily life. People tend to have multiple cloud storages for keeping their data for professional and private use. This work addresses the data management problems by using a storage arbiter for fused heterogeneous cloud storage, such as the limited storage capacity and access bandwidth. Also, data management schemes in the storage arbiter for hot data identification to facilitate the data management tasks, such as data migration, are developed.
