Wow-Finger:Research on interaction design of TCM acupoint and meridian physiotherapy products based on office workers

Published: 12 February 2024 Publication History

Abstract

In the new era, due to the increasing pressure of life and work, and the spread of civilized diseases and chronic diseases, the diseases at a younger age, and the problems caused by people's neglect of sub-health status have seriously affected people's health, consuming a lot of social medical resources and Medical expenses, many people are also impoverished due to illness. Therefore, health problems should be more focused on sub-health, and attention should be paid to "preventive treatment ". In the future, young people will become the group that pays the most attention to health preservation. This article will develop an interactive system based on acupuncture and moxibustion therapy on acupuncture points, which are extremely useful in TCM physical and therapeutic effects. The system consists of five fingertip massagers and an APP. During use of the system, the fingertip massager and APP provide real-time feedback based on the user's strength, frequency and associated movements. In addition, the APP will also display acupoint information and meridian activity levels while the user is using it. We also conducted a preliminary user study of the system, and the results show that users have a high degree of recognition of the system during the process of participating in the design and discussion, and their health awareness has also been greatly strengthened.
