  • Abstract

Building on the success of lifeXplore 2023, which is the winner system of last year's Lifelog Search Challenge (LSC2023), we present a lifelog retrieval system that is both easy-to-use and effective in retrieving lifelog data. lifeXplore 2024 employs free-text search with FAISS and CLIP features as default search method, but also allows combined queries with other modalities, such as semantic concepts, contained objects, recognized text, and meta-data (date/time, geographical location, heart-rate, etc.). We introduce temporal queries and a new system architecture that combines our flexible query-server with the index-server for improved performance. Also, the GUI is significantly optimized by integrating a query-building component with temporal search and new query filters and sub-filters, which allow to perform even more flexible and precise queries.
