U-city portal for smart ubiquitous middleware

Published: 07 February 2010 Publication History

Abstract

Ubiquitous-city (u-city) middleware is essential to provide a variety of integrated and intelligent u-city services to u-city applications. Another essential element to u-city is the ucity portal if the u-city offers its services through World Wide Web. The u-city portal should well cooperate with the u-city middleware as well as support web-based applications efficiently. Yet, there is no reported research on a u-city portal based on au-city middleware. We introduce u-city portal in this paper. This paper explains the mechanism, the interface to the u-city applications, the interface to the u-city middleware and how to cooperate with the u-city middleware to give a variety of u-city services to applications.
