New Conditions of Electronic Government in Russia

Published: 24 November 2015 Publication History

Abstract

This article discusses issues related to the functioning of E-government in Russia during the financial crisis and the sanctions imposed on the country. While the economic situation is actually worsening and the foreign environment is further constricted, the work of building E-government projects is continuing. In fact, officials are making plans for its further development and a growing number of Russians are beginning to receive government services electronically. This article examines how conceptual foundations and practice of E-government are changing. Proper assessment of E-government projects gives us crucial information on the kinds of changes needed in order to make them successful.
