Welcome to the 2013 Summer Computer Simulation Conference (SCSC 2013). This 45th edition of the premier international conference of the Society for Modeling and Simulation International (SCS) is staged here in the city of Toronto, which is heralded as one of the most International, multi-cultural cities in the whole world.

We are pleased to note that the papers which are being presented at SCSC 2013 have been submitted by authors coming from a significant number of countries throughout the world . China, Germany, Iran, Israel, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, Russia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, as well as United States and Canada. This is indicative of the continued interest in and development of Modeling and Simulation (M&S) as a field of research and application all over the world.
