The introduction of a computer-based tool for solving mathematical problems analytically to an undergraduate course

Published: 01 November 1984 Publication History

Abstract

This paper suggests why it is appropriate to now introduce the use of a computer-based tool for solving mathematical problems analytically into a BSc degree course in Information Systems Design. Students enter this course from different mathematical backgrounds and need to be able to use mathematics itself, as a tool, to solve other problems.
