Published: 10 December 2008 Publication History

Abstract

This paper will compare and explore approaches to animation storyboard education between China and the United States. The intent of this paper is to boost the quality of animation storyboard education and give insight into how to most effectively teach animation storyboarding within the context of the current state of the animation industry in China and to promote an identity based on Chinese cultural thought. A good storyboard for China's original animation production is not only a process stage, it is the hope of the whole China's animation industry.
