A control optimization algorithm for greenhouse climate control problems

Published: 07 July 2010 Publication History

Abstract

In this paper, we investigate control optimization strategies in control precision maximization and energy consumption minimization by the example of a simulated greenhouse climate control problem. A control optimization algorithm for greenhouse climate with two levels architecture is proposed to search the best control signals during a time-step by employing MOEAs. A series of simulations through two various comparative studies for control deviation tolerance adjustment are presented to validate the feasibility of the proposed algorithm. The results show that the algorithm has a good robust and stability performance for greenhouse environment control. It can achieve high control precision and low energy cost for real-world engineering application in greenhouse production.
