  • Abstract

Mashup is gaining popularity as a way to design Web applications by selecting off-the-shelf available components, independently provided by third parties and made accessible through Web APIs. A strong requirement for the this paradigm is the availability of techniques and tools to support the designer for effective selection and composition of components from the huge amount of available ones and given the heterogeneity affecting their specifications. To this aim, in this paper we provide a model for guided search of Web APIs and related search schemes based on smashaker, a conceptual design framework for mashup.
