  • Abstract

Toy is the significant partner in children's growing process, and children's growing up will be influenced unconsciously by the strengths and weaknesses of toy design. With the coming of the experience economy era, an increasing number of parents and children prefer to choose the intelligent toy with friendly experience. However, most of the existing intelligent toy in the market has poor interactive experience. It is a significant research subject to design an intelligent toy to satisfy their experiences on the basis of their characteristics. We researched interactive mode based on interactive system and carried out the design of BabyTalk, a voice interactive doll to offer pre-school children a better using experience through voice interaction and easy operation. The user test of BabyTalk indicates that: 1) the interactive design model considering sensory interaction, behavior interaction and emotion interaction simultaneously is more feasible for intelligent toy for pre-school children. 2) the voice interaction of natural user interface has essentially promoted the interactive experience of intelligent toy for pre-school children.
