Augmented Reality Based Integrated Intelligent Maintenance System For Production Line

Published: 07 December 2016 Publication History

Abstract

In a production line, the maintenance is a crucial aspect to prevent untimely breakdown as it might lead to decrease in productivity and huge financial losses. This paper presents a concept to develop an integrated intelligent maintenance system for the production line which works when incorporated with an Augmented Reality (AR) device. The overall system will be integrated with the Internet of Things (IoT) for rapid access to varied and arranged information on the AR device. This will provide quick assistance to the users and help in reducing their cognitive load which will in turn help in decreasing the time of maintenance as well as the overall working time of production line.
