Design of Intelligent Home System Based on Internet of Things

Published: 24 June 2017 Publication History

Abstract

With the improvement of people's living standards, more and more people are interested in intelligent home. Intelligent home system is not only to meet the basic home functions but also to provide more technological, intelligent, safe and humanized services. This paper presents an intelligent home system based on wireless sensor network, which can also be connected to the Internet on your computer or mobile phone. The main functions of this system include temperature and humidity monitoring, gas safety monitoring, lighting control, household appliances control, network management, and real-time display. The system applies ZigBee technology to complete the formation of wireless LAN within the family, using embedded chip to achieve internal communication with the external home, and finally display the monitoring information through the Web page. The system has the characteristics of flexible mobility, strong scalability, low cost, low power consumption and simple operation. Experiments show that the system has high precision and stable operation, which can meet the needs of convenient and comfortable life preferably.
