Traffic Flow Models Simulation with Measured Traffic Data
Pages 292 - 294
Abstract
In order to achieve a complete insight in the car-following models, several typical car-following models such as Optimal velocity model, Generalized force model, Optimal velocity model with reaction-time delay and Full speed difference model are evaluated by using real data in this paper. The measured data is first used to fit parameters included in these models, and then the models with fitted parameters are evaluated by using not only the uncongested traffic data but also congested traffic data. It can be seen that Full speed difference model can depict the real velocity change accurately.

Modelling of traffic flow and air pollution emission with application to Hong Kong Island
In this study, we propose a Lagrangian model for the simulation of traffic flow on a complex road network. This simple approach is quite efficient if adequate road network data are available and statistical constraints are applied to confine the model ...
