Untampered Electronic Voting in Entertainment Industry: A Blockchain-based Implementation

Published: 26 September 2019 Publication History

Abstract

Digital services are gaining new meaning with the invention of blockchain technology. While blockchain still has a long way to go, it has achieved great expertise in the technical and legal aspect of the digital services. Digital services work well in terms of functionality without the involvement of blockchain, but there is always a risk of privacy and security, which mostly remains unanswered. Technologies leveraged through the blockchain system are efficient as well as maintain the secure and the anonymity of all the members involved. The chance of having a fair and transparent voting system increases with the involvement of blockchain-based electronic voting services. In this paper, we are leveraging the power of blockchain to implement a new electronic voting system to cast, transport, and count votes for singing competitions held on national televisions.
