Smart Ventilation Control System Using the Microcontroller STM32F030 and Wechat as IoT Solution

Published: 17 October 2019 Publication History

Abstract

We usually consider of air pollution as being outdoors, but the air indoors has also been polluted. Indoor air quality problems have caused problems for human body. This paper proposes a smart ventilation control system using the microcontroller STM32F030 and Wechat hardware platform as IoT solution, for air quality monitoring network. With such system, it is possible to monitor the temperature, humidity, particulate matter, formaldehyde, carbon dioxide and so on. The system includes a WiFi device based on TCP/IP, input/output ports used to acquire data from sensors and transmit data to the cloud platform in real time. The AirKiss technology is used to connect the system to the local WiFi device. Each node gets a unique identification from the Wechat hardware platform and all identifications are managed in database. The experimental results illustrate the proposed control system successfully exchanges commands and data over internet networks to Wechat browser.
