Replication package for article: Of JavaScript AOT Compilation Performance

Description

The artifact contains the Hop distribution where the Hopc ahead-of-time JavaScript compiler is included and the two benchmark suites that are described in the paper. The artifact installation procedure builds the compiler, compiles the benchmarks, and runs them all.

Instructions

General Installation

Software Dependencies:

  • The Scheme Bigloo compiler (to build the Hop distribution)
  • Nodejs
  • JavaScriptCore
  • SpiderMonkey

Hardware Dependencies:

x86_64 platform

General Installation:

To install the required packages, simply run the shell script “install.sh” that is contained in the artifact package.

Other Instructions:

All the instructions are to be found in the “README.md” file of the artifact package distribution.

Experimental Installation

Data Documentation

The artifact contains the whole Hop distribution with all the souce codes and the documentation. It also contains the source code of the JavaScript benchmarks presented in the paper.
