Multi-path routing spectrum allocation algorithm based on fragment sensing and energy saving

Published: 26 August 2021 Publication History

Abstract

In Elastic Optical Network (EON), the fragmentation of spectrum caused by frequent arrivals and departures of services is a concern. It may block some high-priority service requests, and even single-path failures will cause a large amount of data loss. . In order to ensure the survivability of EON, this paper proposes a fragmentation-aware and energy-saving multipath routing and spectrum allocation algorithm (fragmentation-aware and energy-saving multipath routing and spectrum allocation. FEM-RSA), which guarantees high priority services. Survivability reduces bandwidth blocking rate, increases spectrum occupation rate and reduces energy consumption. Simulation experiments proved the feasibility of the algorithm
