  • Abstract

Time Modulated Array (TMA) can extract each harmonic component from the array output signal and estimate direction of arrival (DOA) using a small number of receiving channels by introducing a high-speed radio frequency (RF) switch. In this paper, a vector sensor receiving model is proposed firstly. Then, DOAs of circular and non-circular mixed signals are distinguished based on the diversely polarized TMA. In the case of a large number of array elements in the diversely polarized array, this method can still estimate DOAs accurately by using fewer receiving channels. The simulation results verify DOA estimation performance of the proposed method.
