Comparison of cloud cover between satellite and ground observation over the Tibet Plateau

Published: 22 November 2021 Publication History

Abstract

To evaluate the reliability of satellite observation cloud cover over the Tibetan Plateau, it use ISCCP cloud climate data and ground observation data obtained in 2007. Firstly, the differences between the annual and seasonal average total cloud cover in this region obtained by two methods were comprehensively analyzed. Then, the diurnal variations of cloud cover in different seasons were compared by selecting representative observation grids.
