Computer Simulation of Fire Smoke Movement in Large Underground Space Buildings

Published: 14 March 2022 Publication History

Abstract

In recent years, the emergence of subway and other supermarkets results in the heavy development of underground space, while fire risk is very likely to become a hidden trouble. Because space are occupied with large underground buildings of special structure, compared to underground small ordinary buildings; once a fire occurs and if effective measures are not taken immediately, the consequences can be extremely serious. Fire smoke exhaust is a widespread problem of underground buildings in China, so it is necessary to use fire smoke movement law to conduct large underground buildings simulation. The study of movement law of flue gas needs to input setting conditions of smoke prevention and exhaust system, the possible location of fire source into the fire dynamic simulation software FDS, analyze the further design and transformation of the system scientifically, finally provide schemes for safe evacuation personnel in case of fire. The following will introduce underground characteristics in case a fire occurs, flue gas migration law, focuses on the research of dynamic simulation software FDS fire. By simulating the fire flue gas migration, an evacuation plan can be obtained.
