Improving the Teaching and Learning of Debugging in Secondary Schools

Abstract

Debugging is a useful and crucial skill for young introductory programmers to develop, but is often associated with student struggle on a cognitive and emotional level. This research provides investigation into effective teaching methods for improving student experiences with debugging, so they may become confident and proficient programmers.
