The church has struggled to capture the attention and participation of the younger generations. While it's easy to blame culture, the biggest thing we can do as church leaders is evaluate ourselves. We have to see what features of evangelicalism are most unappealing to Millennials and Gen Zers, and seek to implement aspects of faith life they are looking for. This boils down to Gospel Renewal - a heightened sense of authenticity and grace that allows for flexibility in church culture

An attempt to reconcile an Augustinian view of God's sovereignty with petitionary prayer. In simple terms, "if God is in complete control of all events in the universe - and ordains all of them - what is the point of asking him for things in prayer? Petitionary prayer still serves a purpose if you have the right view of prayer, which is that it's primarily about changing our character rather than changing the future.
