The programme contains work designed to face students' underperformance through alternative intervention, concentrating on certain key issues: learning of processes and parents and children's consultation. The study attempts to compare initial and final assessment of the children's cognitive-learning aptitude as well as performance in written narrative speech and problem solving. The theoretical hypothesis used to serve the purpose was that the implied intervention processes not only improve the overall learning aptitude but also student's performance in those learning strategies necessary for the organization of speech and the mathematical thought. The study of the differences in assessment bef...

After systematic research, using three major digital scientific libraries, we full-screened eleven research studies that were implemented in inclusive or special settings and published during the period 2010-2022. These articles were selected as they described in detail the psycho-pedagogical methods that were used by the researchers to foster the participation of children with disabilities in collaborative educational robotics activities. The psycho-pedagogical methods have been categorized and presented critically in relation to the research methods and results. Finally, the discussion section of this review highlights the need of promoting collaborative methods in the context of inclusive educational robotics environments.

Multidimensional approaches efficiently support the complex system of family interaction and function affecting positively the child’s development. Early and efficient interventions are widely recognized to lead to long-term positive socio-cognitive results for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders and their families. The purpose of this research is to delve into professionals’, special educators ’and therapists’, opinions on their collaboration with parents and other professionals as they apply early intervention programs to children with ASD. Semi-structured interviews of 15 professionals, experts on early intervention in children with ASD, from different regions of Greece, were analyzed using qualitative research methods. The participants were 4 children, 2 with ASD and 2 with typical development, around the ages of 12-14. The sessions were held at “School for all: Tokei Maru” in Thessaloniki, once a week, for 3 months. Observation protocols, researcher's diary, and interviews were used for data collection. Children with ASD, although they had a strong motivation to participate in robotic activities, exhibited disruptive behaviors. The cooperative learning strategy was not effective. Self-regulation strategies have proven helpful in limiting the disrupting behaviors of children with ASD and in supporting cooperative learning.

In this context, an educational intervention research was carried out using mixed research methodology. The aim of the research was to investigate the effect of the“SAS Strategy Training” a strategy that developed to foster the participation of children with autism, at level 2, in inclusive teamwork with peers during construction and programming LEGO Mindstorms. 2 children, 10-11 years old, diagnosed with autism, at level 2, participated in two inclusive educational robotics teams with typical peers. A key manifestation of language and learning disorders are the difficulties of understanding and producing narrative discourse . It is imperative to support these students applying specialized strategy training intervention programs in the classroom. Narrative strategy intervention programmes are useful for every child. The aim of this work is to analyze the narrative disorders from the perspective of different cognitive approaches and to present cognitive intervention methods that can be exploited in the general classroom.

It is important to note that Senpai of ASD children in Judo lessons were members of therapeutic community who were practicing in Judo during their therapy. The SI_ Judo has been implemented for 6 months, at a once weekly frequency, in the informal learning environment of “School for All: Tokei Maru” of Include in Thessaloniki Greece, with positive effects on specific psychosocial and psychomotor skills for ASD participants. The effects of SI_Judo ascertained after SI-Judo educational intervention to two ASD children. According to the research methodology, the effects of SI_Judo had been investigated by interviews and questionnaires of parents of ASD children, Senpai calendars and independent and participating observation protocols. The activity lasted 4 hours and took place in the inclusive robotic lab of “ Tokei Maru: School for all”. Interviews, researcher’s diary and descriptive evaluation of the child’s social adjustment were used for data collection. According to the findings, the child reacted positively and participated in robotic activities although it was not expected by his mainstream and the support teacher. Part of the data analysis that presented in this paper demonstrates clearly that the professionals’ and special educators’ opinions emphasize the need for multidimensional approaches. The analysis also highlights the obstacles that restrict collaboration with parents and other professionals. The material resources of state support have also been suggested as factors that interact with family resources that affect the child’s developmental characteristics.

IEPJudo was, additionally, designed to bring in active participation social groups at risk for social exclusion, as the children with ASD that participated in the IEPJudo, were supported by the members of Judo club Τherapeutic Community TC, at the brown belt level (1o KYU ). The members of TC, that were taught Judo during their therapy, supported the children with ASD, as uke, during their Judo practice, under their Sensei and special educator's instructions. The implementation of IEPJudo had extremely positive effects for children with ASD as it was documented by the Special Educator External Observer with a black belt WJF, their parents and their Sensei's assessment. Children with ASD after their IEP Judo participation took part in inclusive Judo competitions organized in the context of the World Judo Federation with positive effects on their psychomotor and social skills and their families' psychological status. The IEP Judo program, also, supported the members of Therapeutic Communities in their therapeutic prosses, as is clearly documented by them in their research dairies. The educational material and methodology, the 8 assessment tools and the results of IEP Judo implementation in two children with ASD are presented in details. The IEPJudo implemented at the "of Include School for all: Tokei Maru" in Thessaloniki, Greece, in the context of the action "learn How to Fall, Stand Up and Demand" that was donated by Points of Support. The book is dedicated to the memory of Professor Jigoro Kano, Shinan for the 160th anniversary of his birthday.
