I'm a huge fan of rail trails, but just imagine if you could, uh, catch a train to all these lovely little towns!
Pretty high quality mea culpa here. I find myself regularly in agreement with criticisms of news media reporting and headlines in particular, but it’s not straight forward and this does a great job of laying out why.
There is a related question about news media’s responsibility to advocate for democracy.
Brother: 'we have joined the dark side' HP: 'hold my beer'
This is a really well thought out set of mechanisms to support creating new habits. I’ve returned to it a few times over the years and each time was about to go start building it until:
So far, I’ve successfully restrained myself from building my own tool. That’s a dangerous yak to shave!

And a drone's penis is surprisingly hefty: around a third of their entire body weight, Dr Chapman says.
This is the explicit content I'm not sure I needed on a Tuesday morning (or any morning, tbh).
"Toronto Pearson is aware of an incident upon landing involving a Delta Airlines plane"
Oh, you're "aware" of the plane that's upside down on your tarmac? Well that's a start, I guess.
Sometimes I think 'mabye I should spend some more time using the thing to better validate my opinion', but other people keep doing it for me.
One of the most blistering findings is that trial participants who reckoned the technology was of little to use soared from 6% before the trial to 59% after the trial, an almost tenfold increase.
