Twilight Princess reverts
Please discuss the current Twilight Princess reverts here before reverting again, thanks. -- ReyBrujo 20:06, 2 July 2006 (UTC)
- Done. The article is locked, so we can't change it. Which is good - it was getting old fan sites were inserting themselves as secondary-sources when primary sources existed for citations. --TSA 17:11, 3 July 2006 (UTC)
TSA Retiring
According to [this], TSA's giving up the speedrunning business. I don't want to touch his page, but shouldn't this be mentioned?
Land of the Legend
Considering that Land of the Legend has been more or less ruled as a bad source, I think it's appropriate to share this: [1] to ensure that this linkspamming ceases to be on Wikipedia. - A Link to the Past (talk) 07:42, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
- I agree. JackSparrow_Ninja continually ad-spams the fan site, Land of the Legend in several The Legend of Zelda articles, usually replacing more credible citations with his own. He has been documented and reprimanded by Wiki Admins once already for Vandalism and Edit Wars. Land of the Legend turned their initial acclaim into a means to generate massive amounts of ad revenue in order to finance their own personal ambitions. They've repeated made up unverifiable claims on their site, including a hoax image in February 2005 that evoked the wrath of the Zelda community and blog sites. They never use proper citations and feel the need to attack my site whenever possible because they are simply jealous my site is better than theirs. Mighty Dekunut, formerly known as "Hyrule" on Wikipedia (account has since vanished), is very deceitful and hateful. After meeting him at E3 2006 where he seemed to be an okay person, I soon after found out he really cared nothing for my site or me, or other webmasters. He apparently "got" several webmasters into E3 2006 from the Zelda Community, but then abandoned them leaving many to have to get in on their own accord (including Lord-of-Shadow and Goddes Rinoa). Additionally, while there, Mighty Dekunut was off trying to get their "exclusives", and sort of forgot about his other "friends there". I had to use my contact, Matt Atwood, to get some people into the Wii booth without waiting in line so they could get a chance to play Zelda before the event ended, some of these people who flew long distances on Martjin's word (Mighty Dekunut's real name is Martjin). After this, many major webmasters were not happy with him, and soon after, he ripped off content from my site and others, prompting me to initiate a call to blacklist him and his site. Their site had a major downtime for whatever reason, and even during that time, they kept a metric in place to measure traffic, and they had false claims, such as they'd have exclusive GDC Germany coverage. Repeatedly his words and actions have infuriated others, and many now consider the site's "third" comeback and afterthought and simply ignore it. --TSA 20:37, 9 December 2006 (UTC)

JackSparrow Ninja
I'll warn Jacksparrow to not personally attack users. However its best not to attack users back but instead inform an admin of your problem. Jedi6-(need help?) 06:17, 7 February 2007 (UTC)
- A user doesn't actually own their user page, its part of the community and can be edited by anyone else. However its usually common courtesy to leave the editing to the user him/herself. So I would move your rebuttal to a talk page. I wouldn't worry too much as those comments will be removed I'm just giving the user a chance to do it himself. Jedi6-(need help?) 06:43, 7 February 2007 (UTC)
- ALso you should remove your attack against Jack Sparrow and the Land of the Legend from your user page. Jedi6-(need help?) 07:04, 7 February 2007 (UTC)
Reliability Rebuttal
- A user and Zelda-fan who gathered 'fame' because of his speedruns, and working for several Zelda fansites, yet has abused this status on several occasions to spread rumours. This is not true. I was well known throughout the Zelda community a long time before I ever did a speedrun. I was an original member of the original Zelda Headquarters and I've been around the community for over a decade. If you're going to bring this up, please do your research correctly and use some citations. --TSA 06:30, 7 February 2007 (UTC)
- Unless he sources statements, which sources should be able to be looked up by editors, his statements are generally best to be neglected. Let's just point out one example of this being untrue. Simple go here [2] and you will see that I reported Phantom Hourglass was being delayed back in July of 2006. I did not give any real source except Nintendo of America, which I am positive you are saying is not a "real" citation in this case. This turned out to be 100% true and I was the first person to report on this. Additionally, all of my reports of in-game information of Twilight Princess before it was out was also found to be true once people got their hands on it. You are referring to my April Fool's Hoax with the interview with Miyamoto or my original report on Eiji Aonuma in 2005. One was a timely hoax, the other was a situation that was beyond my control, and was supposed to happen, so I didn't lie. I would appreciate it if you would take the time to do more research and find out except for these two stories, every other report, out of the thousands I've done, has been true or based on information given to me - never rumormongering. --TSA 06:30, 7 February 2007 (UTC)
- That aside, he states himself not to be a journalist, and merely running a fansite. I've been recognized by Nintendo of America, Inc., CAPCOM, Bandai/Namco, Atlus, Konami, Square-Enix and numerous other game developers. I've even been published on IGN and on Nintendo's website, in addition to my own works. My reports have been cited on sites such as GameSpot, Kotaku, Joystiq, GoNintendo, AMN and N-Sider. These sites are all routinely treated by Nintendo as "editorial outlets". Additionally, myself and staff were accepted to the D.I.C.E. (which I will prove this Thursday/Friday) and the GDC (which I will prove when that time comes, too). Their governinig bodies are NOT as lax about "credentials" as the E3 Media Committee, which allows mere fan sites to get in. By the way, The Hylia as already received an official invite to Nintendo's private showings at E3 2007, which we'll prove in July. That is NOT the sign of a "fan site", and the fact I claim my work in my taxes and have it as a second job should be enough. You can say I am a bad journalist if you wish, but have the respect and courtesy to recognize I am one by doing more thorough research. --TSA 06:30, 7 February 2007 (UTC)
- During the development of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, TSA was responsible for 3 major rumours concerning the game, and many smaller rumours and pieces of faulty information on the side. You need to point these out please. Additionally, editors of every major publication have said many more rumors than just 3. A recent report found EGM's editors were only 50% correct with their "rumors". Matt Casamassina has used his blog to spread rumors, and even reported on a NeoGAF hoax made to sucker him. Luke Smith recently posted a huge rumor that he even admitted in the NeoGaf forum was nothing more than a guess. Everything I said about Twilight Princess, even "seeing Ganondorf" at E3 (which I said was a lie, but I had to cover my butt for leaking something I wasn't supposed to), turned out to be true. --TSA 06:30, 7 February 2007 (UTC)
- Often tries to save himself from accusations of ill-faith by trying to break down the person who questions him, rather then explain his doings. You need to explain this and show examples please. --TSA 06:30, 7 February 2007 (UTC)
- TSA claims himself The Hylia is a fansite, which is not acceptable on Wikipedia according to Wikipedia:Reliable sources I do NOT claim it is a fansite. The Hylia aims to be a major Nintendo gaming news site with up-to-the-minute news, exclusive features, unmatched media content and quality reviews. You have misread my remarks or you are now making this up. --TSA 06:30, 7 February 2007 (UTC)
Please do not remove my comments if you consider this to be a "fair" look at reliability. Your side of the truth is not correct, and I wish to refute your claims. I also feel this is nothing but a personal attack on myself and my site, and I feel you are too biased towards Land of the Legend and Martjin Mujer when they are a site dedicated solely to the coverage of The Legend of Zelda series, whereas my site covers all faucets of Nintendo and some of its competition. Just today, Land of the Legend reported on this story, ripping it straight from my site mere hours after I reported on it. How can you verify that EGM said it if the staff is in a region which does not get EGM, and there is no possible way it arrived to anyone there yet through import. I know none of the USA staff gets it at that site, too. You just, without putting it in the story, used MY SITE as a CITATION since I am the ONLY INTERNET SOURCE that has reported on this, and I will udpate you when OTHER SITES use MY REPORT as a CITATION. You just got caught in a big lie and your hypocrisy has been revealed. If you remove this, I will just post all of this on my page and on my website because I am not tolerating lying or libel. --TSA 06:30, 7 February 2007 (UTC)
