Initially, alongside Prem Nazir and Mammootty, the film also had Mohanlal in the cast, who shot a fight scene with Nazir. However, he was unable to participate in the subsequent days of shooting, leading to the character's removal from the story with Mohanlal's consent. For his role, Nazir received a payment of ₹100,000, while Seema and Mammootty were paid ₹35,000 and ₹25,000, respectively. Mammootty's voice was dubbed by a dubbing artist.[4]
