unnecessarily negative tone
editIf the topic is seen apart from the influence of spiritualism, there is no need for the skeptical tone. Early 20th-century writers were influenced by Freud's discoveries about the unconscious mind, and learned that they could sometimes use automatic writing to facilitate their creative process. Karl Ove Knausgaard has explained that he learned to write fast to sidestep excessive self-criticism; that sounds akin to automatic writing. Oxfreudian (talk) 11:51, 31 March 2024 (UTC)
