What about "Fearless and United – Guards" instead of FAU-G

edit

I don't have objections with the history merge of Draft:Fearless and United – Guards into this article. But I feel that the article should be renamed as Fearless and United Guards rather than its acronym. I have seen popular games such as PUBG and COD go with their full names in Wikipedia as PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds and Call of Duty respectlively. Yes I understand most of the sources refer it as FAU-G. Yet majority of us refer PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds as PUBG so why don't we stick with the full name as per Wikipedia:COMMONNAME. If there weren't any specifications about the full name of the game then we can obviously stick with the abbreviation. When I created the article under the title Fearless and United – Guards, I found sources supporting my viewpoints regarding the full name. Abishe (talk) 03:17, 19 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

I suggest opening an RM discussion as described at WP:RM. —BarrelProof (talk) 02:01, 23 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

The result of the move request was: moved -- Aervanath (talk) 16:31, 12 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

Fearless and United–GuardsFearless and United Guards – There has been some move warring in recent days (five moves since 12 November). The current title is Fearless and United–Guards, but that has only been true for three hours. That title has an unspaced en dash, which seems potentially contrary to MOS:DASH, and I don't see a dash (or hyphen) in the unabbreviated form in most sources. Another issue is whether the conjunction should be capitalised; I believe MOS:CT says it should be lowercase (i.e., "and", not "And"). As best as I can tell after looking at the most recent sources that are cited in the article and considering the WP:MoS, the title should be as proposed (no dash, lowercase "and"). Note that the article's Talk page also has some prior discussion of the title from September–October 2020. — BarrelProof (talk) 17:22, 4 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

  • Move Support the move back to the original title. I had requested the article to be moved back to the original and proper title at Requested moves which was restored. Then the editor who had moved the page with the wrong title where the "A" in "and" was capitalized, changed it to this new and incorrect title. I've posted a message on his talk page on how to properly start a move discussion and request one at RM. And warned him that another move edit could result in an ANI discussion. But I'm sure the ANI won't happen or be necessary. --WikiCleanerMan (talk) 17:36, 5 January 2022 (UTC)Reply
  • Support. Common and most natural form of the title. Andrewa (talk) 03:05, 12 January 2022 (UTC)Reply
