Orlando. The name.
editI was hoping for a bit of a story for why he was named Orlando.
It’s not in the 2 sources cited.
(And I can’t find it on google).
I suppose it’s a “just because”.
Orlando Bloom paternity
editSome editors are adding that Harry Bloom was Orlando Bloom's stepfather. A stepfather is generally defined as the husband or partner of a child's mother after a divorce or death of her husband. A step father is a legal stranger and has no parental rights and responsibilities. The article states that Harry Bloom was not Orlando Bloom's biological father. That doesn't necessarily make him his stepfather, though, as Harry was married to Orlando's mother at the time of his birth and the law makes the husband of the mother the legal father of all his wife's children while married, unless paternity contested and paternal rights and responsibility taken over by some other man. Basically a man automatically adopts all his wife's kids that she has while married to him.
Nothing is stated in the article what specifically happened other than Harry was aware that Orlando wasn't his biologically son, but nothing about contesting presumed paternity. It appears he took on the legal responsibilities of being Orlando's father while he was alive and Orlando having his last name supports that. Likely he was listed as father on Orlando's birth certificate since Orlando didn't know about his biological paternity until well after he would have seen his birth certificate. Because we don't know what exactly happened, we should state no conclusions and just give the facts as referenced. Leave out unsourced determination of the legal state of Harry's relationship with Orlando. Evidence is that Harry was never legally classified as Orlando's stepfather and much more likely he was legally classified as his father while he was alive. According to this, which is a reference used in the article - "According to his birth certificate, his parents were Harry Saul Bloom and Sonia Constance Josephine Bloom, formerly Copeland." Very explicitly clear that his legal father at birth was Harry Saul Bloom. Geraldo Perez (talk) 14:25, 20 August 2021 (UTC)
Orlando Bloom early Television role
editBig A was watching an early episode of Midsummer Murders. I was in the episode as a not-so-nice guy murdered in a barn...death by a pitchfork. Look into it, in case you weren't aware. 24.46.246.248 (talk) 20:33, 8 September 2022 (UTC)
