garden of the moon

I have a novel by Mssr. Boulle in my collection titled "Garden on the Moon", copyright 1964, but this novel does not appear in the article. In fact, I believe he had several novels published after this list ends. He lived until 1994! 128.147.38.10 - 21:13, 1 May 2006

I think it's odd that an article about an award-winning author discusses only two of his works. Can this be considered a stub? Surely he wrote more than two pieces that are considered noteworthy, and there is nothing here about his personal history except for the events that inspired Kwai. I put the real (French) title and the original English translation title in the list of novels, so at least some reference to Monkey Planet is now restored.TheScotch (talk) 07:19, 12 April 2009 (UTC)

The list of novels listed as writer is incomplete:

The book " Les jeux de l'esprit " is one of his most important one, criticizing the modern society to be brainwashed by sports for the masses so the reality of the world politics is then hidden to the citizenry as it happens now in our war time in the US of A.

Planet of the Apes section seems somewhat irrelevant

A large chunk of the Planet of the Apes section concerns the sequels to the films and TV series, which had nothing to do with Pierre Boulle - and is already well documented at Planet of the Apes (1968 film). Mattmm (talk) 21:06, 10 March 2009 (UTC)

Did Boulle speak English?

Is it really true that Boulle did not speak English? The article says "by his own admission, not even speaking English". If so, why did he choose to serve "as a secret agent under the name Peter John Rule"? That sounds pretty English. Pierre Boulle did not deliver shortest ever Academy Awards acceptance speech

There are various sources (just Google "pierre boulle" "kim novak," both in the same single Google search) that state that Pierre Boulle was absent from the awards ceremony and the award was accepted on his behalf by Kim Novak, notably the IMDb page on Pierre Boulle (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0099541/) and Richard Crouse on page 203 of his book Reel Winners (http://books.google.com/books?id=q5Q4l1AhELcC&pg=PA203&lpg=PA203&dq=%22kim+novak%22+%22pierre+boulle%22&source=bl&ots=W-nFDw6Mzz&sig=Q7aju1mqbZIU7wJiqqiHlKwPAWg&hl=en#v=onepage&q=%22kim%20novak%22%20%22pierre%20boulle%22&f=false).

So, WHERE was he actually imprisoned during WWII

Was he ever anywhere near the Death Railway POW camps, in either Thailand or Burma? Where was he, exactly, and for what length of time? Every one of these camps has a number or name. Where was he? This would seem to be a critical fact to this man's biography and Wiki article, yet is entirely missing from this article.Starhistory22 (talk) 22:43, 21 October 2017 (UTC)
