Death of Petino
editPetino was found in Bridger-Teton National Forest, a different place, and that interjection is of no consequence in the national park article even if you were correct. Please stop your disruptive edits. Acroterion (talk) 11:10, 4 November 2021 (UTC)
- You might want to get the facts right yourself. Her name is not Petino, it's Petito! This news article also states that she was found in this Grand Teton: https://au.news.yahoo.com/police-reveal-brian-laundries-likely-cause-of-death-090205536.html 103.246.36.61 (talk) 05:43, 5 November 2021 (UTC)
- It’s wrong. Stop filling articles with random crimes. Acroterion (talk) 05:48, 5 November 2021 (UTC)

- I spelled her name wrong, you were disruptively edit warring, as you did with the I-95 tank incident, and you’re blocked, again on this new IP. And your reference is wrong. Petito was not found in the park, the Spread Creek campsite is close to the park, not in it, on national forest land. The confusion is easy to make, but it’s wrong, per multiple other sources. On the chief problem at hand, Ifthis pattern of disruptive editing to include loosely-related crimes or plain errors in geographical articles continues, blocks will get longer. - The Washington Post and the local newspaper, the Jackson Hole News both quote the Teton County coroner concerning the location in Bridger-Teton National Forest. This is why your edits are so problematic - crime reports, especially early ones, are often sloppy or just plain wrong, and your insistence on jamming crime accounts into articles on geography regardless of relevance makes things worse. Early reports understandably put the location in the park, because it’s close by. Regardless, the murder of a tourist in a given park is inconsequential to the article on the park, just as bodies in a given river are inconsequential, or a tank on an interstate is inconsequential. How many bodies do you think have been fished out of the Hudson. Dozens of people die in national parks every year, some by murder. Wikipedia isn’t an indiscriminate repository for things that only you find interesting. Acroterion (talk) 07:00, 5 November 2021 (UTC)

- You are incorrect. A number of people find details like this interesting. That is why you find plenty of other articles with information like this. Do not make false accusations.103.246.36.61 (talk) 04:43, 7 November 2021 (UTC)
- Additionally the use of aggregators, such as Yahoo News, is strongly discouraged, for reasons noted above - they often report anecdotal accounts and aren't fact-checked, corrected or updated. Acroterion (talk) 12:15, 5 November 2021 (UTC)
