editPlease stop. If you continue to move pages to bad titles contrary to naming conventions or consensus, you may be blocked from editing. Dora the Axe-plorer (explore) 12:31, 15 April 2023 (UTC)
- sorry, couldn't find much (enough) information on these naming conventions before. thanks for the heads-up! dumpikin (talk) 12:47, 16 April 2023 (UTC)
- however, the edit I made was following wikipedia naming conventions- according to 'Article titles should be recognizable, concise, natural, precise, and consistent'. Could you explain your point please? Thanks! dumpikin (talk) 12:49, 16 April 2023 (UTC)
- The Sierra Nevada is a mountain range that has been called that for centuries. No one calls it the "Sierra Nevada- USA" so that is not recognizable or natural. Per WP:COMMONNAME you should not have renamed the page. If you're new to editing and are genuinely here to help, welcome, and I'd suggest you start small (like not renaming a mountain range, lol) and have WP:RS for whatever you add. Cheers!
