Heinrich Himmler

@Beyond My Ken: First off, the change to the present image hasn’t been there for a long time. It’s been in place for barely over a week. I should know, I was the one who originally made the change.

Secondly, holding you to to the same standards as you hold other editors is hardly what I would characterize as edit-warring. In one page, you prevented me from uploading a cropped image on the grounds that it reduced the resolution of the original image. However, when I tried to prevent the same thing from happening on Heinrich Himmler based on this explanation, you reverted my changes. If you think my change is unproductive, you should at least say why. Otherwise, we need to hold a vote among the Wikipedia community on Himmler’s talk page. Is that fair? Emiya1980 (talk)

Tsar Nicholas II

Greetings Emiya1980, Could you stop changing the end of the 1st paragraph on Nicholas II's article? It's fine how it was, and there's no need for you to push negative opinions, as sources confirm Nicholas II was a capable ruler. The article went by the Neutral Point of View (NPOW) rule, and you have been unfortunately been involved in edit wars previously. Also, there's no need to make multiple edits on the same article in a short period of time, you can do them at once, and not spam the edit history page, and you keep undoing anything someone else types. I strongly suggest you don't use blogs as sources as they are not academic/scholarly sources, an ergo unreliable. Joker0002710 The categorization of Nicholas II as a capable ruler is a minority viewpoint which is heavily outweighed by the majority of historians as well as the evidence set forth in the article. Moreover, if you read the sources I used, they are not blogs but vetted works by verified scholars. I have been more than accommodating in trying to alter my words to not be overly negative of Nicholas without changing the consensus held by most historians. You, on the other hand, have dismissed my sources as that of blog gossip and not made any changes to your claims about Nicholas being a "good administrator" when the vast wealth of scholarly research says otherwise. If you want to reach a middle ground, let's take this to the talk page. Otherwise stop reverting my edits while pointing to the same two sources which clearly represent outlier views on the subject. Missing s-end templates

Hi. Two of your recent edits, adding "succession boxes" at the bottom of Irving S. Olds and Roger Blough, were missing the {{S-end}} that is necessary after the last entry (usually an {{S-aft}}). In other words, the succession box should start with an {{S-start}} and end with an {{S-end}}. The image was a Getty Images photo, and since it was used merely to identify the subject of the article and the image itself was not a subject of discussion or commentary, it failed WP:NFCC#2 and was subject to immediate deletion. Actually, that just adds another speedy deletion tag to the image and won’t stop the F7 deletion. You should instead follow the instructions on the template and hit the “contest” button and explain your rationale for why the image does not meet the speedy deletion criteria. Keep in mind though, that Getty Images is explicitly mentioned as a commercial agency whose work should not be used except to discuss the images themselves. Ytoyoda (talk) 04:35, 21 May 2021 (UTC)
